WISIMCO primarily invests the endowment through partnerships with exceptional third-party investment managers. Today, we work with a wide range of partners, including both emerging and established managers. Although WISIMCO has a long-term investment horizon, we believe that most partnerships have a life cycle and that it’s as important to diversify across life-cycle stages as it is to diversify across asset classes. Keep in mind that the WISIMCO team evaluates hundreds of prospective managers each year and only selects a small handful of partners for investment. In most cases where WISIMCO does make an investment, the team monitors, evaluates, and underwrites a relationship for a year or more before deciding.
